Muslims from all over the world each year celebrate eid ul Adha in the memory of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and his son Hazrat Ismail's (AS) great sacrifice for Islam. There are hence certain Qurbani rules in Islam which every Muslim has to follow. Eid ul Adha’s Qurbani must be done on the given dates according to Islam which are 10th,11th and 12th of Zil hajj.
On
which Qurbani is compulsory:
Qurbani is obligatory for every Muslim who is having the age of puberty and can afford the sacrifice. It is not mandatory for every Muslim unless can afford it.
Parts
in each animal:
If Qurbani is being done of small animals like goats or sheep then in this regard there is only one share in this animal.
If the Qurbani is being made of large animals like camel, ox or cow, etc then there will be seven shares in each animal. In this regard, some people slaughter big animal alone while other do Qurbani jointly. If one family is slaughtering one big animal then they can share seven shares of it. Parents can give their children names and to other members of the family. The same can be done by the children for their parents if they can afford it.
Share
of Qurbani meat:
Qurbani meat should be divided into three parts.
Ø For poor
Ø For relatives
Ø For the home(The person who is doing Qurbani)
In the current scenario we
should not forget poor people in the family or in our locality.
